The beds we offer are certified and made under strict supervision. Bearing in mind the natural environment, our suppliers use only wood obtained from legal sources (i.e., from forests specially cultivated for wood production). In addition, for the sake of the environment, we do not include paper instructions – they are available online – and the beds are packed using the minimum amount of plastic. Thanks to you, we will plant a beautiful forest. Each bed you buy is one tree planted in the TreeTale forest.

The set includes:

A drawer with a sleeping function (additional option) – the drawer does not have a uniform bottom. The bottom of the drawer is a frame made of flat planks. The drawer can be used as an additional place to sleep or to store bedding, for example. The drawer has wheels. The height of the drawer is 19cm.
If you choose to buy a cot with a drawer, the cot will be 20cm higher.

Cots 120cm wide and wider have a reinforcement bar in the middle, which makes the drawer narrower. In this case, the drawer is half the width of the bed (10cm). So, for a 120cm bed, the width of the drawer is 50cm and, for a 140cm bed, the width of the drawer is 60cm.

If you choose a bed with a drawer or raised legs, the entire bed will be 20 or 10 cm higher

Bed mattress – the set does not include a mattress. This must be purchased separately according to your preference. The mattress should be the same width and length as the bed frame.

Drawer mattress – the set does not include a mattress for the drawer. This one must be purchased separately. The mattress for the drawer must be 10cm shorter than the length of the bed. For example, for a 200 x 90cm bed, the mattress for the drawer is 190 x 90cm.
In the case of beds with a width of 120cm and 140cm (and with a reinforcing beam), the mattress for the drawer is 10cm shorter and narrower. For example, for a 200 x 120cm bed, the size is 190 x 50cm and, for a 200 x 140cm bed, it amounts to 190 x 60cm.

Completion date – natural wood 5-15 business days, lacquered wood 20-30 business days

The cot can be used by children who can sleep independently.

UPPER BAR – THE CHOICE IS YOURS

The design of the Meli bed can be modified. One of the modifications that we can introduce is the lack of the upper bar in front of the bed. If you want to provide easier access to the bed, removing the bar is definitely a good idea. However, if you want to keep the bed in its original shape, this bar will be great as an additional element that can be used in creative playing and decorated ingeniously. The bar is included with the bed.

WITH OR WITHOUT A GUARDRAIL

The Meli bed is available in three versions:

• without a guardrail,
• guardrail protection with round rungs,
• guardrail protection with flat rungs,
• guardrail protection with horizontal rungs.

The guardrail in front can be installed either on the left or right side of the bed.
If the bed is purchased for a child who is little enough to roll onto the floor during sleep, the guardrails may turn out to be indispensable.

TALLER BED FEET? NO PROBLEM

The Meli bed has been designed in line with Montessori principles. The bed feet are only 3 cm tall, and the mattress is located low over the floor. Such a design promotes the child’s self-sufficiency and independence as it may get into the bed and out of it safely without anyone’s help.
However, the short feet are only one of the available options. It is also possible to make the bed feet taller by 10 or even 20 cm. If you decide to make the Meli bed 20 cm taller, it is possible to include a drawer underneath it.

DRAWER THAT CAN BE USED FOR SLEEPING

An additional element of the Meli bed is its drawer than can be used for sleeping. The drawer features practical casters that allow it to be easily slid in and out.
That drawer is a perfect solution if:

• you have two children sharing one room and you want to save space,
• you have children that sometimes want to sleep in the same room in spite of each of them having their own room,
• you want to have an extra place for sleeping when guests arrive,
• you want to be next to your child when they are falling asleep,
• you look for an alternative to a bunk bed.

BED FRAME

Each Meli house bed is provided with a slated bed frame. The frame is adjusted precisely to the bed size chosen, thanks to which you have a guarantee that all parts will fit one another.
